 Platteville Area Industrial Development Corporation and the City of Platteville avidly support economic development of the region, as does the entire State of Wisconsin. There are numerous state and local incentive programs available to qualifying businesses. Some of these programs include local land incentives, zoning and tax credits, and county and local revolving loan funds. In addition to its incentive programs, the City of Platteville has financed the construction of three shell buildings in the Industry Park. The first two buildings were purchased by Southwest Logistics trucking, an Industry Park business. The last building was completed in June 2002. The shell building can be finished to meet a company’s specifications and may be available for either purchase or lease, depending on the situation.
